Rio San Juan is the department to South Central area of Nicaragua, bordering Costa Rica and one of the most beautiful places in Central America and the World. It is the perfect place to meet the extensive flora and fauna of Nicaragua place.
There are three distinct areas in the region. Inside, the shore of Lake and River area. Inside find a Chontaleño environment dedicated to livestock and agriculture. HOW TO GET?
Managua to San Carlos in Cart: The approximately 300 Kms travel are completed in about 4-5 hours. Recent improvements Asphalt make it comfortable and a chance to see the beautiful landscapes of the region of Chontales and San Juan River. There is parking service in the spring of San Carlos.
A daily trip to San Carlos from Managua airport departing at 13h and lasts about 45minutes operated by aerolinia La Costeña.
The national port company offers services from Granada to San Carlos on Mondays and Thursdays at 2:00 pm, stopping at the island of Ometepe, Morritos and San Miguelito and arriving at its destination at 5:00 am. Since chiles (COSTA RICA):
If you leave from Los Chiles in Costa Rica, you must take a boat that leaves from the village pier once the exit has sealed his passport. The Costa Rican customs is very close to the pier and the approximate travel time is one hour.
Boat departure times Los Chiles (Costa Rica) – San Carlos: 5:20 a.m., 10:30 a.m., 24:30, 3:30 pm. Please check possible schedule changes.
Upon arrival in San Carlos, the boat takes you directly to Customs for sealing an agile process of entry into Nicaragua. Pier San Carlos is located a few meters from the building of Customs.
